Deze kennis is wellicht niet altijd binnen de OR aanwezig. In voorkomende gevallen worden dan ook commissies ingesteld om de kennis die binnen de organisatie aanwezig is te gebruiken. Ook is het mogelijk om een externe adviseur in te schakelen.<\/p>\n<p>Daarnaast is het als OR leuk en leerzaam om ervaringen en kennis uit te wisselen met andere ondernemingsraden. Deze kennisuitwisseling kan plaatsvinden in een OR-platform:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cEen Overlegplatform van ondernemingsraden is een (informeel) overlegorgaan, waarbij vertegenwoordigers van ondernemingsraden uit dezelfde sector, bedrijfstak of regio elkaar op gezette tijden ontmoeten. Men wisselt informatie en ervaringen uit\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In Nederland zijn er ongeveer 50 platforms actief. Meer dan de helft van deze platforms bestaat in de sectoren zorg, overheid, onderwijs en non-profit. Met name de informatie- en kennisuitwisseling is een belangrijk speerpunt van een platform. Daarnaast wordt er scholing geboden en wordt er gewerkt aan professionalisering van de OR-en en zijn leden.<\/p>\n<p>Sectie medezeggenschap van De Voort Advocaten|Mediators heeft recentelijk het initiatief genomen om te komen tot een OR-platform in de regio Tilburg: OR-Platform 013. De eerste ondernemingsraden van toonaangevende bedrijven in Tilburg hebben zich al aangemeld.
